SALISBURY, MD, FEBRUARY 2018- Matthew Trader and Blair Rinnier of Rinnier Development Company recently brokered the transaction on one of Wicomico County’s most iconic properties, The Twilley Centre. At 187,000 square feet, it is the largest open-air shopping center traded in Wicomico County history, making it one of the most historic deals ever completed in the county. Trader and Rinnier have worked diligently with all parties involved, over the past few months to bring this monumental deal to fruition.

Built in 1977 by the late Milford W. Twilley, the center was family owned and managed for over 40 years. To many of the city’s residents, it is not just a place to shop, but a city landmark. Personally, I can still remember going there to sit on Santa’s lap as a kid and eating at Imperial Gallery with my family. So for me to be a part of this, I feel like things have come full circle. It’s special! It makes it even better to know that I was able to help the great family, that has owned it for all of these years and to know that it will continue to be in good hands moving forward”.
Mission Dupree owns and manages 3.6 M SF of shopping centers around the country, specializing in neighborhood centers, like the Twilley Centre. Their initiative is to help bring the existing tenants to the next level, while using their expertise to bring nationally recognized tenants to the center as well. Their plans include a state of the art website with a national platform, to help market current and future tenants. They plan to make the center one of the most desirable retail properties in the Salisbury market place.
