| SALISBURY, MD, JANUARY 2021- Matthew Trader of Rinnier Development Company recently closed on a lease deal to bring the toy store, They’re Action Figures, to the Twilley Centre in Salisbury, MD. For many in the Salisbury community, this deal is sure to bring back memories. Many of the city’s longtime, residents still associate the Twilley Centre with Toys R Us; which occupied the center for nearly 20 years, dating back to the early 1980s. They’re Action Figures will become the first toy store to occupy the center since that time frame, but the nostalgia doesn’t stop there. Not only will They’re Action Figures be leasing at the same center, but they will also be selling some of the same merchandise, as they specialize in the sale of vintage toys and comics. Collectors will have the opportunity to purchase those items when their doors open in February. An excited Matt Trader had this to say on the deal...“I have done a lot of deals, but this one holds a special place in my heart. I mean, to bring a toy store back to the Twilley Centre after all these years…man, that’s just cool. Like most people my age, I can still remember going to the old Toys R Us. For us 80’s babies who grew up in Salisbury, that was like the epicenter of our childhood. The real twist to this story though is that They’re Action Figures specializes in the sale of vintage toys. That means consumers will be able to purchase a lot of the same toys, at the same center they originally bought them at as a kid. When it comes to nostalgia, it doesn’t get any better than that. I think it’s going to bring back a lot of great memories for those of my generation. Personally, I can still see myself as a young kid, walking out of Lombardi’s or Imperial Gallery (now Ginger House), to go buy GI Joe’s and Transformers. To know that the same scenario is possible again is a great feeling. I don’t know what time travel is like, but this is pretty close to owning a Delorean. Some things are just a natural fit and a toy store at the Twilley Centre is one of those things. I guess you could say…It’s More than Meets The Eye!!!”.
