Matthew Trader, known as “Trader”, is one of the top commercial real estate professionals on the Eastern Shore. A heavy hitter in the Mid-Atlantic region, Trader has closed some of the area’s biggest and most historic deals. Trader, who is experienced in all facets of commercial real estate, is highly regarded for his expertise in Retail Sales and Leasing. He has brokered some of the biggest deals on the Eastern Shore, including the 185,000 SF Twilley Center; which is the largest open-air shopping center traded, in the history of Wicomico County. Before Commercial Real Estate, Trader studied Communications, Film & Mass Media at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and Dean College in Franklin, Massachusetts, earning degrees at both schools. After college, Trader worked for DE Associates in Manhattan, NY, where he did project management work for Goldman Sachs. While working in New York, Trader helped to redevelop stock trading floors, located inside some of NYC’s most famous buildings, including 1 New York Plaza and 85 Broad Street. Trader’s creative mind, mixed with many of the skills he developed while working in, the high-pressure environment of, Manhattan, has helped make him one of the top dealmakers on the Eastern Shore.
Beyond Commercial Real Estate, Trader loves spending time with his family, watching sports, working out, skiing, playing fantasy football and listening to music.
